I got one question about cosmetic appearance and one about speed chips. Has anyone on here ever done a louver or something to try and get those back windows to appear smaller like an '''old style Bronco'''', any one tried stuff or done it to make it look better '''personaly I hate those big windows...''''. Now to those speed chips on the internet, do they work and if so does a 86 2.9 got a sensor to hook them up too. I believe its an air intake sensor. Thanks
can't answer your window question. but with your chip question
if you talking about those chips you find on ebay like for 20-30 bucks forget it your wasting your money they do more damage than give anything.
if you talking about chip like jetchip.hypertech,etc... depends on your rig how you drive it what you want the chip for for me i got a jetchip custom for one of my b2's
but i have plenty of mods done to it i have gained about 15hp wit the chip. chip cost is about 219 to 300.
Motorhaven also does the custom programming . And if it is the ebay chip, stay away from it. I decided to risk my B2 to see if these do anything and they sure do! They raise your RPM's to about 3k and keep going up till you either kill the engine, or throw it in gear and make your truck bounce. Don't waste your money on them, real HP costs money.
Now on the louver question, there is a guy on cardomain.com that has a purple B2, I don't know if you have seen it, but the back windows have a fiberglass piece over the front part that reminds me a chevy truck with that little thing from the cab to the bed, I can't remember what they're called, anyways go onto cardomain and look at the Bronco II's and look for a purple lifted about 11" B2. He's won awards and stuff, but he has that little thingy molded in. Hope this helps.
