Starting Problem

I have a 1987 Bronco II and I have replaced the starter, starter Solonoid, battery and battery posts and I am still having a problem with starting. When I try and start it sometimes there will be just a click and if I click several times it will eventually turn over. Any ideas why this is happening.

while changing the starting system did you install new positive and negative cables just a though ignition switch malfunction, maybe? maybe blown fuse or a short somewhere did you check your alternator to see if it's charging your battery
maybe your alt is bad .

Sounds like what my BII does when the battery terminal isn't making a good connection.
Of course, it also sounds like what my Explorer did when the starter started going.

All good ideas but I already replaced all terminals on the battery. I was told that there is some kind of connection on the steering column that can cause problems when you turn the key. I have to investigate this, has anyone heard of this problem before

it might be your ignition switch gone bad.
