What is it?

I am trying to buy a remanufactured short block from some one who bought it and never used it. He seems to know less than I do about 460's. The block # is D1VE, Crank casting # is 2Y. It is bored 60+. Reading a lot of old threads no one talks about boring out this much. Is 60+ OK , I know I probably can't ever rebore it but it's for a mild street truck, no racing or mudding. Anyone know what this is? Thank you. Jim

If it was sonic checked then yes you can get to 60 over or maybe higher. But without seeing the check I would be careful.

In a mild street engine .060 over is probably ok. you will have one cyl that is probably a little thin on one non thrust wall but as long as you aren't gonna run nitrous or a blower you probably would not have a problem.
