Yesterday my Ford factory alarm system worked, today it will not arm or disarm!
Put new batteries in both remotes (they flash when buttons pressed) and the system will not work. Checked all fuses in the cab and under the hood - all were OK. I do not have power locks and the system only works for the protection of doors and starter kill. No other electrical problems in the past or present with truck and it runs great.
I don't know where to begin to troubleshoot the system - any ideas?
Thanks for any assistance....

How do you know it doesn't work. I have a factory alarm (with the remote start) and I know it takes 20 or 30 seconds to activate after you arm or lock the doors. If you try setting it off too soon, it may not trip the alarm.
Alarm does not chirp when supposedly armed and does not chirp or turn on outside and inside lights when supposedly disarmed. It use to do all these functions correctly.
Does not matter how long you wait after pressing arm button, opening doors will not set off the alarm and you just normally start the truck with your transponder key. Before if alarm was activated and the door was opened, just inserting your key would not start the truck due to starter kill - you had to press the disarm button on the remote for things to work.
