Oxygen Sensor
I own a 1981 F-150 4x4. With a 302 w/ air. I am getting terrible milage all of a sudden. I was getting about 17 MPG and now I am barely getting 10. I have a huge exhaust leak right behind the right manifold and I am wondering if maybe that is affecting the oxygen sensor. Or has the sensor just gone out?

the 81 wont have a o2 in it,think ford started using ecm's in about 83 or 84,also it doesn't need to be efi to have a o2 sensor in it,carbed motors also used ecm and ran some computer emissions controlled sensors!the manifold leak is not helping,try fixing it,how old is the tune up,when is the last time the fuel filter was changed,air filter,vacum line off,broke,or rotting!

you should probably change your o2 sensor anyway...after a while they get a little lazy, makin it take longer for the choke to open up...the pcm will need a signal from both the coolant temp. sensor (cts) and the o2 sensor before the choke opens up. Also, does your engine heat up? try checking your thermostat...it could be stuck open as well.
