I am new to the forum and have been trying to determine the best rotor for a explorer conversion e150. i purchased 2 of the value craft rotors, being cheap, and have had second thoughts about using them. As I recall the last time I had the rotors turned, the bearings I took out were thicker than the ones i got at auto zone for these rotors.
Does anyone know if the rotors on the conversion vans are stock or does conversion companies like explorer upgrade the components?
What rotors would someone recommend. I saw in past posts that power slot ($124) was what somebody else recommended. I saw that jcwhitney had slotted and drilled for $99. This thing is heavy and needs help in the stopping department.
You can check to see if the bearings for the e250 or 350 will fit your spindle and rotor combination if you want to but if you don't want to spend the big bucks for the slotted rotors the stock should work fine. And the stock bearings will work fine on your conversion van.
