can i chisel off the brackets for my springs and weld one on for dual shocks?
will it fit or is the frame different on the front end of a truck with dual shocs?
On my '82 F250 4X4, I bought R&L upper shock mounts (front) from Ford and bolted next to existing shock mounts. Then I fabricated lower mount from salvage yard front leaf sping plate and welded to existing spring plate.
If your driving an F150 you can probably get the factory dual shock mounts from salvage yard - or aftermarket if you want to spend some money and save time.
1 have a 1993 f-150 with a inline six. the thing i was wondering is, if i can take the brakets off of an 85 bronco? wil they bolt right up?
i have the blown apart diagram from ford and the parts are justa bit different. there is a braket that mounts on the opposite side of the radius arm for the bottom end of the shock and i just want to know if these parts are interchangable? thanks.
