Dual front shocks

Dual front shocks
Which trucks had dual front shocks. I had a 92 reg cab sb with it, but my 90 does not. I think my moms 91 bronco has it.
Was there any particular reason they do or don't have it.
I'm tempted to replace coil hoops of my 90 with the dual shock one for my later upgrade of long arm suspension.
What do you guys like/dislike about the dual shocks
