Engine light on,parts house read trouble codes,
P1405 "DPFE sensor up stream hose off or plugged"
Also p0171 & p0174 too lean bank one and two respectively.
Not sure what DPFE is and where to start.
Would appreciate any help!!
i dont know what it does, it has something to do with egr, mine threw a code, and it turned out to be a hose fell off. it is up by the throttle body, it has i think three hoses coming off of the bottom of it.
DPFE stands for Delta (or Differential, depends which book you're reading) Pressure Feedback EGR sensor.
This picture is from a Windstar but the sensor should look the same. http://www.clubfte.com/users/racerguy/dpfe.gif
Follow the EGR tube from the driver's side exhaust manifold up to the EGR valve. Off the tube there are 2 hoses. The DPFE is at the top of the hoses.
