How do you dispose of any trash you have in your vehicle? Do you have one of those special car trash things, or just a bag, or do you throw it in the bed (which I never understood).
i use the ol' 8 foot garbage can. then when i decide theres too much crap in it i pull up to a garbage can at either a car wash or gas station or wherever and clean it out.
right now i have about 6 empty cans of copenhagen, couple pop bottles used to spit in, and some shotgun shells in the bed - you might be a redneck.....
My daily driver F150 2wd tends to accumulate the trash until I get a plastic bag and toss everything. Bottles and cans and stuff go in the bed and stay there until they threaten to take over, then get bagged up and hauled to the recycling center. Dirt on the floorboards tends to stay there, though.
My F250 4x4 (surprisingly) stays pretty clean. I don't drive it much, though. Use it on the farm and when the roads are slick, but with gas so high it mostly stays in the shed.
I have one of those little trash cans that sit on the center hump in my car. But now that my son is over 2 his legs are long enough to kick it over from his car seat... which he does... every time... without fail. So now I just keep a plastic shopping bag on the front passenger floor. It accumulates for a few days to a week before I pitch it, unless I have a passenger - in which case it goes immediately.
My wife, on the other hand... *** groan *** I put a big trash can in her Aerostar. It typically fills up in a few days (she has three teen boys from her first marriage). Then the garbage fills up the cup holders. Then a plastic bag gets employed, which sits on top of the full trash can. Then stuff just accumulates on the floor. Until someone opens a door and some falls out. I find it embarrassing when I stop and a poopy diaper falls out of the van. She just chucks it back in.
I don't get it.
I have given up chiding her over the state of her van and generally just try to stay out of the "green garbage scow" as much as possible. It's too depressing.

dude I think you're living too close to too many yankee states.
Passenger side floor holds quite a bit of candy wrappers and soda cans. I always try to get a Wawa bag to keep it in, but it may sit there for a few days. Fast food bags do't saty in too much longer after they begin to stink.
i never let trash collect in a vehicle, when i get out i take it with me. if i have something large to get rid of that wont be took by the weekly trash collection (radeators, old toilet) i just drive to town early sunday and toss it in a dumpster behing krogers or the chinese restrant. at least im not just throwing it in a ditch.
