Looking for Exhaust System

I am looking for a new exhaust system for my 02 7.3 CC Longbed 4X4. I have been following the threads that people have posted and even searched with varying results. I have decided that I am going to install the exhasut from the Turbo back. I was going to go with the Banks system but it seems expensive. Has anybody installed either the Magnaflow or MBRP 4" kits? If so do they increase the exhasut noise inside the cab noticably? Where they difficult to install? Does the 4" downpipe clear the firewall without having to modify it? If someone has a different suggestion I would be up for it. It looks like the systems are about the same price. Thanks in advance fo your suggestions!!

One thing I know is that the 4" will clear the firewall for sure. It does help to have a partner when putting the downpipe on or jacking it up from the bottom while you work on the top.

Can't help you with the two systems you are looking at. Sorry

I have the 4" Magnaflow all the way and it doesn't make any more noise in the cab than stock!! It took 10,000 miles for it to start sounding good out side the truck!! I have to rool down the back window on my CC to hear it very much at all!!

BTW: I love mine!!

Check out warpspeedperformance.com. I got my exhaust from there, good prices and great customer service, willing to help in anyway. They sell some exhaust systems on ebay, or you can buy directly from their website.
It fit well, had to do some trimming to make it fit perfect, but that's expected.

I have the magnaflow stainless steel system. I really like it. It is a bit louder under 2nd gear load but other than that it is the same as stock. I really like it. It was real simple to put on took me 5 hours to cut out stock and put the new one on by myself. That is really quick for me because I am not very mechanicly inclined. Good luck!

Thank you everybody for your thoughts so far. It looks like the Magnaflow is the way to go. Hopefully I will be able to make the purchase in the near future and talk a friend of mine into letting me use his shop. Thanks again I really appreciate the feedback!!

MO,
Where do you live? Do they use salt on the roads during snowstorms? T-304 stainless is pretty much the best s.s. that you can get in an exhaust. For $585, you can get the Hog Performance system. It's T-304 and uses all stainless clamps. It comes with a tip, whereas the Magnaflow won't in most cases. This is the system I'm getting very soon. It sounds really good. They are becoming a much more popular system here on FTE. Every single person that I've talked to that has them (over 10 people) have nothing bad to say about them. They fit perfectly with no trim. The muffler is reversable for different sound levels. Just a suggestion.

LuLuGoin2ADiesel thank you for the information on the Hog Performance. I aLive in Northern Virginia and they do salt the roads when we get snow or ice. I originally was going to buy an exhasut with T304 Stainless but not sure if the extra cost justified the lifetime warrenty. I am going to look at the Hog and make a decision in the the next week or two. Thanks again for the information.
