as to the rods. i would before i did any thing else. i drop the pan and replace the bolts with arp ones on the mains and rods. just my personally way of playing safe as i don't trust factory bolts on a motor that will be raced. it's IMM a cheap way of helping save my block. while not a 100%er it is a helper.

I think th problem with these rods are where it connects to the piston. It is very thin.
yes i agree and also about how hard it is to drop a pan these days. still it's my personal way of trying to save my motor, replace the no good tty bolts with some good ones. lets remember i am a old fart and one who likes a real bolt in my motors
