drewcoolness99,
I like that saying.my son in-law says he is going to put a bumper sticker on my truck that says,No,I was not born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could!
Hey KT! Glad you had a great time! So ... this move is for sure? Good for you. How'd your wife take the news? Ha ha.
I've never been to Texas. In fact, I've only been to Washington, Oregon and Cali. But Texas is definitely on my to do list. I'm sure you'd love it there, seeing as how everyone from there is so proud of it. It's almost contagious, like I'd want to be a Texan too, if it weren't for the fact I'm Canadian instead.
Anyway, I'm glad you finally got to meet your girls, and granddaughter. And happy belated new year.
Glad to hear that you liked it doen here in Texas.
If you do move down to the Great State of Texas we have plently of room for you. if you need any help moving all those trucks, just ask a Texan, as we are always ready to help. Heck i'll even drive the F600 with the backhoe. Oh I almost forgot, Its something in the water.
It's a big place, but up here in the NE corner, there's plenty of room to roam. I'll keep that F600 at my place and run it now and then to keep the bearings from locking up....
And you can get lost in these woods - for as long as you want to. There's something about the Texas wilderness, though, that'll make you want to throw away all means of outside communications. ...you might not want to be found.
If you think you'll be in this area - gimme a call.
Hoooah to Texas. Married a Texan, a beautiful one. Even though I live here in Colorado at the moment, I still maintain my Texas residency. I guess you could say I'm a Taxican. Job has me moving a lot. I WILL go back to Texas after a while in Germany/IRAQ. Just love it. The greatest state in the U.S.
King, I'm originally from San Antonio but presently stuck in Houston. I'm hoping to get back over there sometime this year. I've got a nice size place just outside SA that you could keep your F600 so no worries there....come on down.
Come down as quick as you can. If you need help moving the pickups, there are many members here including myself that would help you get em down here.
Texans are prolly the proudest of our home state out of anyone. With all the hype over the decades, we have to be. But when you get down here, the first two things you have to do is to buy multiple guns, and learn to talk Texan.
Just North of Houston here, come on down man. I have a few head of cattle and a couple of oil wells I will loan you until you get on your feet I'm thinking you'll love it down here King. I've been here all my 40 years, and still love it.
I have to agree, Texas is a place like no other. I lived there for a few years a while back and just couldn't beleive how friendly the people were. (even to perfect strangers) Haven't you ever heard that song K.T., "if I die, I may not go to heaven but, texas is as close as I've been" (or something like that) Didn't care much for the weather though. Had to move out here where the weather is more consistant.
As a former Detroiter myself....turn off the lights and go for it. (we're getting kind of crowded here.)
