Headers?

Does anyone here have a favorite header that they've used on a 67-72 F-100? I'm looking to upgrade my exhaust and I don't want any clearance issues. (I have power steering and A/C if that matters. )
Also, I'm looking to ditch the factory 2V carb. and intake for a 4V. ( ANY input regarding either is welcome.

TIA!!!

I assume that you have an FE in your truck. I am running hedman headers and I like them, no clearance issues at all on mine with power steering. I know that Gtex has FPA headers and they are probably the best setup available except they are very pricey. As far as intakes you are kind of limited. Edelbrock will be your best bet as far as intakes go. Preformer for close to stock and preformer rpm for more mods.

I'm run a set of Ford motorsport shorties on my 331(302). I had to change my starter to a small high torque one though.

I have an extra set of full length I pulled off my '66 Fastback. I was just curious if I could use them.

As mentoined above, I run the FPAs. Stan at FPA really knows his headers and the FE motors. I suspect he also knows the smaller motors just as well.

They are pricey, but the quality and fitment is excellent. See mine here:

Those are very nice! Are they ceramic coated? Their shape reminds me of the old 289 Tri-y headers for the Mustangs

yes, these are ceramic coated. You can get the non-ceramic coated for less money.
