I'm going to replace the radius arm bushings on my 82 f-150 2wd today. I don't have a cutting torch to use on the rivets that hold on the bracket, but I have a friend who does. I'd like to be able to pick up the bolts first, then drive the truck to his place and just get him to torch off the rivets. Then I can just put the bolts on right away and drive home and do the bushings at my place. (Thus avoiding having my wreck sitting in his driveway for the next 3 days if something goes wrong).
Does anyone know what size grade 8 bolts I will need to replace the rivets? Also, I won't need an air hammer too will I?
And just in case none of this works, what do I have to do to replace the bushings if I can't get the bracket off?
