hi all, just got my 88 ranger back after a clutch job and low and behold
some one wacked it on the drivers side fender right where the mud flap meets the body work.
how hard is it to get the fender off?
whats holding it on,besides the bolts i see along the top when the hoods open?
if it take it off am i going to be able to bang it from the inside, or does it have more than one layer of metal.
i need to put the crease back in it where it goes behind the wheel to the point where the mud flap is attached!
Besides the bolts along the top there are 2 behind the grill on the side and 2 under the front, and 2 in the rear through the door jam. 1 under the door on the bottom of the rockers. then there are the ones holding the finder skirt in place. This will get the outer fendar off. the inner fender is spot welded but you shouldnt have to remove it. depending on how deep and where the dent is. you may be able to get most of it out.
