im rebuilding a 351w out of a 90 f-250 right now and i was wondering wut some good injector choices that i have. i want better than stock but nothing to crazy.. if you can understand that but anything you can tell me will help seeings how i know nothing
If you are comfortable ordering stuff off of eBay, there's a company on there who sells fuel injectors, called Five-O motorsports. I bought a set of 8 for about 135 or so, and they are almost brand new - they said they were take outs, but they looked like they hadn't run a lick. Stick with the stock size injector (19 lb/hr) unless you are making at least 300 horsepower - anything bigger is overkill and will require an update to the computer to keep the engine from running super rich.
Might should go to either a 24 lb/hr or 30 lb/hr injector with that kind of power. You'll have to get a chip or something so the computer can run the engine properly.
i bored my motor .30 over, new cam with 4.47 lift and new lifters, new valves for a small block chevy (2.02 and 1.85 compared to stock at 1.8 and 1.4) new rods, rockers, and lifters and headers
well i cant really explain it to well. but its very important to not exceed 114* of lobe seperation in your engine build otherwise the computer will not allow the motor to run properly. it has something to do with the when the intake and exhaust valves open in relation to each other
well it must be taken out and sent back. you have the wrong cam and it will not run correctly with your application. Who sold you that cam. I would be having some words with that person for sure. you would need a mass air conversion to run that and may still need a custom chip made. and for you i think that would be way to expensive.
ok im doin a similar build up, im doin the MAF conversion tho..im only gonna be makin like 333 hp max, would i be able to get away with stock injectors?
well im almost positive its wut i want, i have different rods and lifters because the new chevy valves are shorter and with the honed out valves ill have more exaust and fuel flow
