need my power back!
I just bought an 01 f-150 supercrew,62,000 , 5.4.I had a 2000 lariat but , it was hit from behind and totalled.I cut of the exhaust, ( just the muffler , not the cats.) I usually do this and add pipe and resonator , except this truck lost all low end torqe! I put a glasspack on it and resonator , great cruising power but it will no longer break the tires loose, It would do this the day I bought it. It has the traction lock rear and will spin both if made to, but it is much harder now, I do not want to put the 100lbs of factory exhaust back on . Please , how else can I get back my low end?!

How far have you driven it since you changed the exhaust?
I'm wondering if the PCM just has to relearn. You might try disconnecting a battery terminal for 10 minutes, reconnecting it and then driving a while to see if that makes any difference.
