Tailgate Cable Strength?

Tailgate Cable Strength?
Just put a 1700 pound camper on my F350 long bed. I keep it slid a bit to the back so I don't have to take my toolbox off. Which centers the load just over the back of the rear wheel.
I'm concerned on how much weight my tailgate may be holding and how strong those small cables are.
And can I buy replacement stronger cables somewhere if needed?

I would not worry so much about the cables. They can probably hold 500+ pounds (line up a few adults sitting on it at a tailgate party, right). But the load being hung aft of the rear wheels could cause a serious reduction in traction of the front wheels which affects steering. Not good. But it depend on the amount of wt. overhanging.

Thanks, steering feels fine. Its supposed to center on the center of the tire, and is actually on the back edge. Plus I load more weight up front of center so I suspect I"m fine on steering etc.... The diesel helps the front weight a bit too. But there is about 2 feet of camper hanging in space past the tailgate....
