My buddy also gave me the Daystar 2.5" front lift. I have a Lariat 4x4 sc. I am told it does not effect the ride. I hope to put the whole package together, probably with new wheels and tires.

Dang! that must be a good buddy to set you up like that...
He must want your truck to look it's very best!
My advice would be to drive a truck with the lift already installed and get a feel for it. Anybody local you know that might let you drive a badass, leveled, black, SuperCrew?

William, Thanks for the reply. I know this crazy guy who can't leave anything alone who has a lifted supercrew. My only concern is the wheel base is different. I can be real picky, just like that dude. Also, I am not sure if I want to go with 18 or 17" wheels and tires. Leaning toward the 18" BFG with 8.5x18 wheels.
Please explain about rear shocks that you said make a huge difference..
Thanks!
YOMAN!
Well that’s pretty easy, the stock shocks are valved incorrectly and are of very poor quality so adding the Bilstein made the rear not skitter around on short, sharp irreguarlarities in the road surface. Also the rebound is very much improved with the Bilsteins. The compression valving is much more progressive as well. BTW eshocks.com raised the price of the rears to $69.95 as of today.
I only used the Bilsein on the rear because I built my fronts out of SwayAway Racerunners w/coilover and threw away the stock springs and shocks I didn't want to spend $300.00 each for the rears.

If you put the Rancho lift in then you may be able to use the blistens provided that they have one for a4" lift. Stock size shocks will not work with the Rancho lift.
