Hi guys, Sure hope we don't get all that ice they're talking about. Anyway, has anyone had trouble with the windows staying fogged up from start up to at maybe 75% after a 30 min. drive. More so on damp days and I can't detect the smell of antifreeze like I did on my 72 F350 300 6 cyl. that done that trick. It got to where you could smell and about taste it and sure enough bad heater core. This is a 97psd with 177000k miles on it, can't believe that it's bad.
Do you have air conditioning? If so you may want to check to see if you have a good refrigerant charge. The air conditioner helps dry out the air by condensing out the water vapor prior to blowing it on the glass.
Hmmm, I have seen this problem when the ventilation system has been set to recirculate and not drawing air from the outside.
I agree with Kwik. There might be a vacuum hose off somewhere. The A/C should also help clear the windows. Does the compressor cycle in the defrost mode?
