As much as I respect the Sooners--a friend of mine and his wife are from OK, too--this turned out worse than I thought it would. Yep, I thought USC would win this trackmeet, but not *that* one-sided.
Quite a few of the radio show talking heads and many callers thought OU would win big. Very big. (What or where they even thinking?)
"Uh, USC barely beat Cal, which lost to Tech...blah, blah, blah...and OU beat my Longhorns! OU in a blowout" (Boy, they were...)
So much for reasoning.
Mike Williams and his agent also say "Hi!". Maybe they will join in the postgame party.
P.S. Little sister Simpson got a rousing ovation at the end of her "performance", didn't she? Ruined an otherwise great halftime...

That game was a complete letdown! Auburn should have been there, IMHO. Not saying that Auburn would have beaten USC- I don't think anybody could have beat USC last night- but the game would have been better. They really need to consider a playoff system.
Matt Leinert showed the world why he won the Heisman... Congrats to USC.
Or maybe the cheerleaders... It's like they just quit playing after that first drive. It's sure going to be a long day at work today here with all these Texas fans.
I don't mind that we lost, I was prepared for that... but that is just humiliating... Especially 2 years in a row that we choked when it really counted... BLAH...
what makes me mad is that alot of the people that wore OU stuff yesterday quit supporting OU after they got massacred
as for me, I support them whether they lose or win
All I have to say is, "it's a sad day in Soonerland".
Did you see the estimate from USA today of what the schools get to split from the Sugar, Rose, Fiesta, and Orange bowl games? It was an estimate of 14-17 million per game. WOW! No wonder those coaches salaries are going to the moon.
Yeah, I aint changing my ID on here or burning my OU gear, there's always next year. And hey, you can say what you want about how bad we played last night and all... but that half time show was 100 times worse than our performance on the field!
Ashley Simpson actually got booed... ah, it was terrible... I was in shock for about half, then I laughed out loud towards the end... man was it bad.
Frost13,
Good for you. I can't stand bandwagoners. I am a Dodger fan (yes, I said Dodgers. Hate me if you wish.) and when they were winning the division all year long I heard "they'll choke, they always do" from everyone. THEN, when it was getting closer to the end of the season, freakin' Dodger this and Dodger that from everyone. THEEENN, when they lost in the first round it was back to everyone hating them. I can't stand bandwagoners! Did I already say that?
Regarding the game, I'll bet there are alot of happy bookies(sp?) out there.
