Yeah, i bet the cards feel stupid now. They walked berkman on purpose so they could pitch to jeff kent. First pitch, HOME RUN!!!! 3-0 Astros . See if they wouldve struck berkman out, it wouldve only been 2-0 instead, lol.
Go Astros!!!!
The Rocket starts game 6. Yankees will win in the house that Ruth built. Astros will win game six in st. louis. It was a great game though, but glad to see the Astros come out on top. As far as the yankee/boston game .... well they need to start ending games in the 9th inning, not the 14th.
The 'stros are going to do some major damage...but it still upsets me that people didn't get to see the 5th killer "B" do his best....all because of those damn Yankees having to hog the spotlight....
Oh well...Brandon showed at least a few people that he is up to the task.
I love baseball, but I don't think I can handle much more of this 7th Inning Stretch singing of "God Bless America". Where do these stadiums come up with these people singing. I like the straight forward singing. I'm not much into listening to the Operatic versions that seem to be flooding the airwaves. Cop, Firefighter, Veteran, celeberity, or whatever - sing it like we know it. I can't sing "GooOOoodddDd BlLleeSSSss AaaaaaAmMmeeeerrrRrrIiiiiCcccaaaAAAaa" that way and my ears can't take much more........................
I don't have anything against Opera, even been to some at theaters down here, but that's where it belongs - - in a theater - - not at a ball game.
Oh Yeah, while I'm on a roll, what's this crap FOX has with the pregame "StarWars" baseball players. Have fans gotten to be that lame that they actually consider that as entertainment or are these TV stations that out of touch with the real viewer world???????????

Okay, I'm done now..........Go Cards..........
Agreed. They have had, in my opinion, the worst singers yet
We were just too thin this year. If all was healthy it would have been a different story. But man that second half was great.
I hope Roger feels guilty and puts off retiring one more year!
