Hello all.
I just finished installing a new external fuel pump.(did not test pressure due to not having guage) Should have bought one, only about $40. New pump $100. Did not solve problem. I did how ever get the code reader hooked up for current problem. #32. I just don't know how that relates to clatter under load???? any suggestions????
The only test I could run was KOEO. She will not idle well enough to run KOKR test.
The very first part replaced when I purchased this rig in September, was the EGR, and that was because it broke when I tried to remove it. I have the records of repair and diagnosis for the previous 4 years and one of the tests indicated a problem with EGR, so I wasn't too upset when it broke.
Could the PCM/brain retain the code and respond accordingly even thou I tore it all the way apart?
The problem must be something really simple, I mean heck, I have relaced just about everything.
Well, let's see. I replaced the external fuel pump, fuel filter, and fuel pressure regulator. Checked for bad gas. Had the Cat checked. Replaced wires Cap and rotor, replaced dizzy and ICM. Am about to replace the new Planium plugs with Autolites. I am hoping the plugs are the problem, in the past, I've found the fancy stuff doesn't work as well as the standrd.
One of my problems with the clatter/pinging was not setting the timing mark at the right point on marker.(STUPID!!!) So that part is solved.
As far as the code 32. I replaced the EGR Valve Position Sensor before I checked the voltage. It seems that I have over 5v going in but I don't get any v's come out at all. Which is confusing. The first thing I did to this rig is replace the EGR and Coil. I back probed the EVP and got nothing. So, I'm thinking that maybe the connector plug or wire is bad. I'm not sure on how to deal with that. Any ideas?
