I just hopped in my '01 Eddie Bauer Expy with the premium sound system for lunch and noticed that I have no low end or bass coming from the sound system.
Everything else appears to be working fine, it just sounds a bit "tinny" without the low end.

I was listening to sports radio on my way into work this morning and heard a rather loud "snap" sound that sounded almost like it was outside the truck on the passenger side front of the vehicle. When I got to work I inspected the exterior of the vehicle, and there was no visual damage (I thought maybe I had hit something in the road. It was dark while I was driving).

Anyway, this all got me thinking that maybe something in the electronics with the stereo made that loud snap sound this morning?

Seeing as how I was listening to AM I didn't notice anything wrong with the sound this morning. It was when I went to listen to a CD that I noticed it this afternoon. I also can hear it on FM radio, and now notice it on AM.

Any thoughts?
I think it will be going to the dealer for them to check it out, but I wanted some info from the group first.

Since it's the Premium Sound, I would assume there's a subwoofer in there. The 'snaps' can be sounds of a ruined subwoofer.
