Hey there.
I recently did pads and rotors on all fours and a few weeks later I'm
having a problem where my ABS is coming on when I stop.
Just before I make a complete stop the last little bit I can feel the ABS working ....under any conditions.
Any suggestions would be great
Thanks
I guess we're in the same boat..im having brake problems as well. i did my brakes & rotors to all fours just recently.
When im about to come to a complete stop, my brakes feels like it's vibrating. This happened once in while but now, it happens everytime im coming to a complete stop. i was wondering if you are having the same problem. the other day, i had a friend of mine sitting on the passenger side and he actually heard the brakes making the vibrating sound. he told me it could be the ABS.

It sounds exactly the same.
It is definitely the ABS coming on as though the tires were slipping on ice but this happens in any conditions and just before the truck comes to a complete stop.
Otherwise the brakes feel fine at high speeds.
Any Help out there?
First I have no idea what year your driving but I'm asuming at least a 95 or later as first gen. had only rear ABS. I would check the ABS sensors at each wheel maybe you accidently damaged, moved, unpluged frayed & grounded the wires. Your sensor output could be weak or the gap could be too far. Good luck. Hope this helps.
mine is a 1996 eddie bauer.....i will go back to the mechanic and have them check it out.....at least i have something to go by....thanks for the info guys......
When you find out could you let me know please!!
I did the brakes myself and was pretty carefull when I did it so I'm really curious to know what the problem is
Thanks
I'll let you know as soon as i get the chance to go over to the mechanic. in the meantime i try not to use it as much. Had a friend of mine tell me that it could be possible for the brakes to give out completely. im not sure how true that is....but i wont take any chances.
That is not true. Just an example you can still use your brakes when the car is not running. The abs is just an added feature, you can have a completely non-functioning ABS system and the brakes will still work normally, just without the Anti lock feature.
