EGR, or not?

EGR, or not?
I don't have an EGR tube coming from the exhaust manifold to the intake. Does this mean I don't have EGR, or was it routed inside the heads for some years like some of the old V-8's.

This thread caught my attention so I decided to go out and look at my truck. I did not ever recall seeing an egr tube coming out of a manifold, but then again I never specifically looked for it. There is a bump on the exhaust manifold, just back of the second primary on the drivers side. I am guessing that is the place where it would be if it had one? Anyway, there is no tube coming out of mine. I thought I read all California emissions SD's had an EGR system

Already have the headers, good prediction. I looked into the VIN decoder and my truck does not have EGR.
I thought all California vehicles had EGR's also. My truck has the CA emissions package.
Oh well.
