X plan is also available for folks who work for Ford suppliers. I work for Caterpillar and I'm getting x plan pricing for the F250 I just ordered. Cat supplies injectors to Ford, I think. Just my 2 cents...

Does anyone know if dealers will negotiate the X Plan pricing? I have F250 MSRP of $40,650. The X-Plan takes it down to $35,500. I'm wondering if I should negotiate the X-Plan rate, or are their hands tied?

TIA

If you're buying one for $1500 less than I can sell it for, you owe it to every FTE member to share the name of the dealership that's giving you such an unbelievable deal.
Well, I ended up not buying a new truck after all (look for an upcoming post about what I did buy) but the truck that I was quoted at that price above is still available. I don't know if it's appropriate for me to put the dealers name on here or not, so you can just email me and I'll give anyone interested all of the info including a copy of the invoice.
Also, I was working with a particular lady at another dealer in Birmingham, Alabama who was very helpful and friendly to work with and she gave me her best price on the truck right at the beginning (no haggling necessary). Even though she couldn't come down to match the other truck above she was close and she was considerably less than any other dealers around here would come down to. I would be glad to share her info with anyone interested.

Thanks,
Drag

I have been dealing with dealers in Fairfax, VA for a 2005 Lariat SC 158" wheel base 4x4 FX4, 6.0L, 18 inch wheels, Lariat Luxury Pkg, 12.5K trlr hitch, tow command sys, back-up sensors, camper pkg, clearance lights, heated seats, snow plow pkg, uplifter switches, pwr sld window, 5 spd auto, 3.73 ltd slip diff and chrome cab steps. LOADED! The MSRP is 45,545 - the best I have been able to do is $39, 873 x-plan and $40, 200 non-x-plan. These prices are out the door.

Not sure if these are good prices.

Any advice?

Fraank,

I was actually debating between two different trucks at two different dealers. The truck mentioned above was my best deal but I wasn't wild about the color (Arizona Beige with black accents) and another truck that was the reversed colors (Black w/Az beige accents). I really liked the black one but they wouldn't come off the price as much. The MSRP on it was $47,985 and I could get it for $40,690 plus tax which would be another 2%. They wouldn't budge off that price anymore. Another truck I was quoted had an MSRP of $43,330 and I could get it for $36,990 plus tax.

The truck that I was quoted above at $38,600 must have had something unique to it in particular because no other dealer would get close to that price.

Maybe that helps you some.

PS - after several weeks of "negotiating" between several dealers to get the best price on a new truck, yesterday I still ended up buying a used one.
