My 1996 F150 5.0L supercab radius arm bushings have been replaced twice. The truck has 70,000 miles on it. The last time, they lasted about 100 miles & literally fell out? I have had two so-called mechanics look at it but no luck finding the root problem. Any suggestions?
The bushings that you used. Were they polyurethane? I have a set on order right now for my 92 F-150 from Jeffs Bronco graveyard. I'll let you know how they look. Make sure yours are torqued properly. There is also a white plastic bushing inside them. Make sure that is good. Another thing make sure your axle pivot bushings are good bacause they could cause extra slop in there. My truck has the original ones in there and there pretty worn out. It makes a clunk when I back up and then go forward. It also has 4 inches of lift and 33's so that's not helping.

The "radius arm bushing" is actually several pieces including the core that Dark_horse mentions. I suspect you didn't have them all. Check with a dealer.
Thanks to the both of you on the input. I actually paid a so-called mechanic to purchase & install. Will have to get with him regarding what was actuallly purchased from the parts house...
I just changed mine out this weekend with Daystar polyurethane bushings. They seem to be a lot better than factory rubber bushings. Good luck with yours!
