Odd Tail lights.....
Ok here what I have.. a 1970 Food F100 and Under the Tail lights is a set of lights that I thought wher stock.. But After looking at a lot of other 60 F100 on this site.. I have come to relieze I have no clue what they are.. There a Pic in my galley of the back end of my truck.. does anyone have a idea what they are.. and why if there are back up light that it seems no one else has them..

It looks like the area that those tail lamps are mounted has been altered. Can you tell if the piece was put over the original panel? It's hard to see them up close, even though I clicked on the larger size. From what I see, maybe they're a RV style tail lamp. Can you see the back side of the bed corner from underneath? Maybe you can remove them and repair what was done back to original.

When I got the truck the rear harness was gone.. No tail lights at all.. I made a set from some trailer lights I had on hand.. Hope this link work.. its to the pics of the tailights https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...&albumid=13899

I think they are back up lights that were an option for 1957-1960. I don't think they were a popular option. I have only seen one other truck with them in a yard years ago when I was looking for parts for the '59 I had at the time. The lenses should be clear and you used to be able to get them from Sac Vintage Ford.

Tks, I shall take a looks and see if I can find the lenses.. Or something else to make them look right.. Any ideas?

Sorry about that. I searched my parts illustrations and text and it doesn't show anything for back up lamps. I remember seeing lots of that style beds from 57-63 with those style lamps. It may have been a dealer installed option, but I see no reference to anything in the books. Some of the early Econoline vans had those also. I owned a 61 Econoline with those lamps.Are there any numbers on the lenses?
