Rancho RS9000X????
Having just done the install of a Hellwig rear sway bar, I feel the next step is to replace my shocks....I do tow regularly during the summer so no great panic to buy right now...I find my factory ride a little soft in the rear and bouncy in front, maybe the factory shocks need to be upgraded by now 2000 XLT with 5.4 V8 and just turned 100K.
I have looked at the Rancho rs9000X and have heard very good reports about them on other vehicles, has anyone any experience of them on an EX?
If was to go for the 9000's in the rear could I get away with the 5000's or RSX1700's up front?
Hoping someone has some real experience on here as Ex's are few and far between here in the UK.
Thanks
Gary

I LOVE the 9000x's on my Ex....
Princes and the Pea butt that I am....I usually run them on 1 and air the tires up more to get the soft ride AND the best fuealge from lesser rolling resistance....
then if I load up or tow I bounce the back up to about 3 or 4....
Lusted for the in cab controllers, but never got them....
and really haven't missed them - especially when I heard they were prone to air leaks - which messed with your shock settings...

My Rancho's were installed a little over a month ago. Overall, very happy with them. I too have them running on level 1 for the best ride possible. Too lazy to crawl underneath to test the different settings.
Just received my controller kit. They were on backorder due to a revamp to correct some problems.
Hoping that the new kit will be reliable. Will be installing as soon as I get the chance. I am sure I will need more stiffness when towing the boat and I hate crawling under the X in the mud to adjust them!

I also run them on the softest setting. They're OK, but I'd really like to try a shock that has different valving for compression and rebound, like the bilsteins that Edge puts out....
Just for grins, I put them on the "5" setting before my wife borrowed the truck. Told me she should have worn a jogging bra...!
