Well its a new year & a new problem with my 87xlt ranger. After changing the two fuel pumps & putting in an inertia switch. I find the truck is burning fuel @ an alarming rate!! The 2.9L has FI is there an alustment to regulate the fuel? It seems it is burning rich. Any help would be great.
I would find the fuel pressure regulator, then remove the vacuum hose and look inside it for fuel. There should be none. Do this after running the engine a bit.
