Well, Scoot.....We all cant afford a Aluminum Block!! LMAO!! I think with the 521" sroker..I should be around 525lbs?? Close anyway...

Now that you are a "385 guy" I've kinda lost touch with how your project is coming along. Where you at with it? I'm as anxious as you are to see how it turns out.

I wonder what that thing would do in a Cobra?

It would probably do 0-60 days in jail in about 4.2 seconds!

Oh yeah, I forgot, a guy I know here in town is going to build a cobra. I told him to get the car done and I would let him put my engine in it for a day to see if that's the kind of HP he wanted. So maybe I'll get to find out what it would do in a Cobra after all.

Well Scoot, I wouldnt say a 385 guy?? How about a Ford guy?? LOL!!

Since I was laid off back in Nov. and wont go back to work until Feb?
Its been going slow..I have been doing some interior painting work on the side to suppliment my Unenjoyment.....To help the wife keep the bills payed..

So the project had too take the back Burner...The Block is done (bore 4.390" and Oiling mods are done also.. I have to run to Richmond to pick it up from a buddy's house...He picked it up from the Machine shop for me..

The Block will be finish honed here Locally for the Probe Piston's and fitted for rings..And then and then the Scat 4.300" crank and SIR rods 6.8" will be balanced at that time...

I sold my Kaase/Ford SCJB's for the purchase of the Blue Thunder Raised port Ford exhaust Heads... (to be Ported Stage II) I had a Weiand T-Ram, but I sold that also..To Try and find a OffY T-Ram, Because thee real close allready to CJ size ports..and the Weiand get too thin trying to take them out that far...

I have still have alot of crap to buy...You know how that goes!! At first I was doing 2 step forward and 3 steps back, Until I fully figured out how these motors work (from the Hi-po point of view) I dont see my motor looking as nice as your's...you did a work of art....But it shouldnt be UGLY!! LOL!!

I'am still going with the CompCams XR292R cam..that was intended to use when the motor was going in the truck.. only .671"/.680" lift ,254/260 Dur.@.050"....I could use a Different cam a little larger lift only .025" and Different timing events..to make another 50hp...but then the bottom falls out. to like 36hp at 2000rpm...So I'll stick with my small Roller..

I was going to go 4 link....and backhalf the car..But I decided against that..I know some guys that are running the QA1 suspension set-up and are running in the 7's without 4 links.. Maybe its 8's?? there quick anyway....I'am just hoping for low 10's on dot's and High 9's on slicks...at about 140mph?

Just a nice little street cruiser without a back seat!! LOL!! There more..I'll have to write you an email..and tell you all..
