First off welcome to the forum. And secondly, cause I don't ike to see anyone get hurt please, no starting fluid on trucks with glow plugs. It tends to have an explosive effect. Your problem could be a number of things. One thing to check is if your tach is registering while cranking. If not the cam sensor is a likley culprit. Does the truck smoke while cranking?? More info will be very helpful

Have you tried draining the fuel filter and checking for water or other contamination?

It wouldn't hurt to check the glow plugs and the glow plug relay, and like the other guys said, don't use starting fuild. It can be deadly.
