<!--StartFragment --><!--StartFragment --> Hello everyone I have 1989 f-150 yesterday it suddenly turned the parking lights on then within 1 hour the brake lights and turn signal lights no longer work. I replaced the light switch but it made no differance, the lights were still on even without the new switch in place.
All help, suggestions, and prayers are appreciated.

Are you sure it is the parking lights? Check to see if the license plate light is on or not.
If it is instead the turn signal filament (in the same bulb), then I suspect what happened is 1: The hazard flasher has failed closed
2: The hazard switch got pushed in
This will leave all 4 lamps lit. The brake switch and turn signal switch will have no effect.
A bad multi-function switch could also do this, but again, with the turn/stop filaments and not the parking lamp filaments.
ling errorsI checked bulbs and filaments even swapped the bulbs this made no differance. I began unplugging circuits under the hood on the fenderwell near the firewall on the drivers side. There are 4 connectors green, black, grey, and grey/brown. When I unplugged the black one the front lights worked like they should (parking signal and hazard) the tail light on the passenger side was on and the brake/tail light on the drivers side is on. The lic. plate light is also on.

Check that the the frame, rear sheet metal, and the box are well grounded. I've seen some strange behavior in the past (on a dump truck) with ghost parking lights. What can happen is electrical current from somewhere (say the fuel pump) flows through its "ground" lead. Because of ground strap problems, this current lacks a clear return path to the battery negative post. So current flows into the sheetmetal, "backwards" through the taillamp filament, along the shared brown running lamp wire to the front parking lamps, "forwards" through the parking lamp filaments, into the front sheetmetal, and from there back to the battery.
Bad grounding could also explain why your stop/turn rear lamps do not work.
