Hello,
I have a '99 F-150 and my parking lights won't turn off. When I turn my light switch off the parking lights only dim but don't shut off. Can anyone diagnose this for me? I would guess it is either in the switch itself, or the relay is bad. If anyone knows what it is and it happens to be the relay, then can you please tell me where to locate it? Thanks.
The only relay in the system should just be for trailer lights. If you have trailer wiring you could remove the relay and see if that helps. It will be in a small box under the hood, next to the main fuse box.
Otherwise you should probably remove the light switch and unplug it and see if that shuts the lights off. If it does then you probably have a bad switch.
