rear hatch

does nayone know how to remove the panel on the back hatch..meaning how do i get to the rear windshield wiper and the rear lock?

It is mostly held on with push type connectors. IIRC, there is one screw that holds the strap on that needs to be removed. Otherwise you have to pull the panel off. You can use a putty knife or buy one of the tools made specifically for interior panel removal. Most auto parts stores sell the tool. If you destroy any of the push connectors they are available from the dealer and most auto parts stores. It is not too difficult.

On my 97 there are 5 (I think) press fit push type connectors at the very top of the plastic that need to come out. Then you also need to remove the two screws that hold in the strap as well as one screw that is under the cover for the rear hatch lock lever.

After removing all that it basically slides upward and pops out.

thanks guys i need to know how to get it off because of the rattle from my subs..lol..now its fixed though thanks
