Without spending a small fortune at L&L for retro specific motor mounts, is there another motor mount set up that will mount this 69 429 in my 82 F-100? And are the front springs in the 82 F-100 stout enough to handle the extra pounds going from a 300 to a 429 c6 set-up?
Hope this isn't too late I may be able to help you a little; I recently swapped a 300 I6 for a 460 (which as far as I know is the same block as the 429) in an 82 F-150 4X4. My springs did fine but they are 6” lift coils from Skyjacker your springs probably won’t work, if your truck is a 2WD you shouldn’t have many problems. For the motor mounts I took the frame perches out of an 84 F-250 that originally had a 460 in it and then I bought the motor mounts for that truck since the 460 wasn’t offered in anything smaller than a ¾ ton after 1979. My F-150 frame already had the bolt pattern punched from the factory for the F-250 frame perches they bolted right in then the 460 just fell into place. I’m also running a C6 the transmission X-member from the original Borg Warner T18 (granny 4 speed) fit perfect but on the 4WD transmission the X-member bolts to the transfer case adapter and the 2WD bolts directly to the transmission that part may be different. If you have a 4X4 you have other issues with the oil pan and oil filter hitting the engine X-member, that part hit my wallet pretty hard.
For the 80-up trucks, both 2wd and 4wd run a rear sump oil pan, so, plan on an aftermarket pan, or scrounging for one from an 83+ F250/350(the 460 wasn't offered in 80-82.) Ford solved the x-member oil filter interference problem by using an angled filter adapter, probably 45 * or so, I'll take some pics of mine when I change the oil this weekend. Some of the 87 Up trucks I've seen have an oil cooler hooked into this too, IMHO, it'd be worth grabbing.
For the brackets, about the only route other than L&L is to find the Ford pieces, which probably aren't too widely avalable, BB trucks don't often hit the JY, and, aren't the most common to start with.

My 460 also had the angle oil filter adapter but it wouldn't fit because the filter would hit the power steering gear box, first I tried a filter relocation kit but that took way too long to build oil psi then I found a thread adapter to remount the filter directly on the block and had to cut out a very small piece of the engine
X-member but I added a gusset on each side to return the strength that I took away by cutting out that piece.
