4.6 Supercharged Lightning Engine Swap??
Just wandering If anyone has done or seen an Engine swap for the escape? I am interested In swaping out my 3.0V6 for a 4.6 Supercharged V8. is this possible if so what else would I have to swap? I really like the drive train of my escape now with the traction control but dont know if I could Keep that any help on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanx

I have never heard of a 4.6L engine swap but if you want alot of extra power I know Kenne Bell makes a supercharger that is built for the escape. I have read some articles on this product and have heard some real good things about it. Somewhere in the neiborhood of 300 horspower. Sounds pretty good without all the extra work and fabrication required to install the V8. Plus an escape is a naturally frontwheel drive vehicle where with a V8 you would have to go to a rear wheel drive set up. Just an Idea.

first off the lighting engine is a 5.4.... and thars no way in hell you r going to get a 5.4 in thar maybe you could put a explorer 5.0 in it with some work???? and last ford did make a front wheel drive v8 the 97-99 lincoln continetal

ok well thanx for the info the cobra is 4.6 thats my bad! no way to fit the 4.6 ? so you think it might fit under the hood? well thanx with the help! anyone else have an opinion??

the excapes have a VERY LITTEL moter bay thars no way u could get a 5.4 or 4.6 or anything that big so good luck but try a 5.0 it might fit or what about a SHO taures moter??
and ford still makes the lincoln continental in front wheel drive
i think they have 4.6 in them (but im not sure)
