Escape stalling

I was having a starting problem (which ended up being the IAC motor). During the diagnosis, I had the dealership reprogram the PCM in accordance with a current recall. This recall is for exactly what you are dicsussing, stalling at speed. I didn't have the problem until AFTER they reprogrammed me (go figure). It did, however, make the IAC problem more obvious. This is essentially a combination of the "choke" for your fuel injected motor, and the idle mechanism. When it went bad, the motor would no longer idle. If you were going down the road and lifted the gas pedal, it would immediately stall. This is a good place to continue your search.
