'05 Escape, 140,000kms, no codes: rough idle when humid & stalls
Hi,
I am having 2 issues - that I think might be related. After a rainfall, my Escape runs rough in drive & in neutral. Sometimes it stalls. Another problem in dry weather: while driving, the theft light comes on - at this point it wants to stall. I usually floor it & it recovers.
I have new plugs, have replaced the IAC & the PCV. The battery is new. The garage found no codes. The undercarriage is quite rusty due to road salt no doubt.
My mechanic says it sounds like an electrical problem (the rough idle in gear & in neutral & stalling on wet days). In winter, I just have the theft light problem.
An "electrical problem" sounds vague. Any ideas out there?
Many thanks for your input.
