low coolant shutoff
Are the PSD's (mine is an 00) equipped with a low water shutoff? It would suck to blow a lower hose and not be able to smell it. On our trucks they have them(roit's and cat's) and I don't think it would be hard to put one in the tank of the PSD, I'm not worried about it being low because I check every morning, but in case of a disaster where it drains it ALL out. Nope, no low-water shutoff. Though they do have an inherent low-oil shutoff, since the HEUI injectors need oil to fire. If, say, your drain plug fell out and all your oil went away, your injectors would stop firing and the engine would stop long before the bearings stopped being lubricated.
