Ever seen colored LEDS used in a dash? I was thing of a nice aqua color to go with the glow in the dark paint. I really like the indiglo color scheme and I think that is as close as I can get.
Can't say as I have seen it, but I expect that it could look pretty cool given the right colors. My truck being a shade of teal, the Indiglo might be a neat match.
I used green LEDs for my turn signal indicators only because my signals wont cancel when I finish a turn and sometimes I wouldn't notice the signal was still on. The LEDs were much much brighter. Notice I say were. After about three months they stopped working very well. They're very very dim now. I haven't really tried to figure it out. Haven't had the time. Sounds like you got a unique idea good luck with it. John (Black58)
John - I'm no LED expert, but a buddy put some in the dash of his 40 Tudor. He pointed out how each light needed a resistor in front of it to drop the voltage so that they wouldn't burn out. It was a real packaging challenge, since he was soldering all the connections himself.
If you didn't have the resitors in-line with your turn signal LED's, that might explain why they burned bright and now dim.
Just a thought. I'm due for some dumb ones...
I found Electro Luminesent Sheeting. I am not sure if that is the answer or not for me. The sheeting I found is about 0.25" think, not very good to cover my metal panel in the gage cluster with maybe a little to thick.

Also if you bought LEDS for turn signal did you get the premade setup or build your own? I am building my own, but you have to regulate the current to an LED or it will use as much current as it can and not last a long time. Also you need to get an electronic flasher not a stock on. The elctronic flasher does not rely on the system load to work.

I bought the premade ones. I'm going to take them out and go back to the original set up. I plan on rebuilding my signal switch so that it will cancel when it's supposed to. I also got one of those loud flashers. Hopefully that will settle my deal. I still wish you luck on yours. John
