fan clutch

I finaly came across a fan/clutch for a 400 in a junk yard. The clutch is damaged but I took it anyway. Would it be worth buying a clutch & putting it on ? Would it improve gas milage ? cool as well as the 5 blade thats on it now ?

I wouldn't install a *damaged* clutch. If it fails, the fan's next stop is your grille (after passing through the radiator).

Replace the clutch (make sure the blades are not damaged) and install the fan. It's supposed to be easier on the motor (not sure if you'll notice better mileag though), better for cooling and less engine noise.

I have one for my 390, but haven't installed it yet.
