What are the numbers on the label? Not the part number, but the catch code, and the lettering in the lower left corner. It should either be SD-EFI, MA-SEFI or SD-SEFI from what I remember. The catch code is the big letters and numbers - for example, A9L.
If it's out of a Mark VII, then it is speed density with sequential injection like a Mustang, not batch fired like a TownCar/crown Vic/Truck/T-Bird/Cougar.
Only the Mustangs and Mark VII's got the SEFI along with hyd.roller cams, but the Mark's got speed density while 88 California only and 89-up Mustangs got MAF.
thanks guys for both responses. I think this is the catch code-DX3. If this is as you say s/d but seq.fire, is it a pretty good system for an early bronco swap. I know a mass air is much better but It's hard to find a decent one in my area.
thanks ,mike
Its very easy to convert a Speed Density to MAF all you need is the harness and computer then you can do any mods you want (within reason) and it will still run.
See on those labels there is the SFI-SD and the other one is SFI-MA . SFI is sequential injection; SD means speed density and MA is mass air. If it is EFI-SD, then it is not sequential injecction, but being in a Mark VII, I would think it would at least be sequential, since it is not mass air. That will tell you if it is sequential or not.
