A Bit About Yourself

Hi FTE friends, name is Rod I have lived in Davis county most of my life, ( 43 ) moved to Porterville about one year ago. I am the forester for Layton city, I fly RC helicopters, ham radio operator KC7VKZ, I like to tinker with most any thing. I found a 67 F250 camper special a few years back, sure liked that body style now I have one and it has been fun.
This BB looks to be a good one and I thought maybe you guys may want to share some info about your selfs.

Hey Rod, nice to meet you. Lets see here, my name is Mike. I was born in Ogden, moved to Battle Mountain, Nevada when I was 2 years old. Moved to Mesa, Arizona at 15. Joined the Air Force in 98, got stationed at Mtn Home AFB, Idaho. Got out of the military in 02. Now I work for the FAA in SLC, been here for just over 2 years in the communications area. Married, 2 boys (ages 5 and 3). I like to hunt, fish, camp, you know, that Utah stuff.
I'm hoping this chapter takes off and we can have some get togethers.
BTW, anyone want to help me install some gauges in my 97 PSD? I'm having a hard time psyching myself up to drilling into my exhaust manifold.
Mike

Howdy all! My name is Kelly. I've lived in the West Valley area off and on (mostly on) since 1961. I am 50, been married, it'll be 32 years in May. Have 2 kids (girls) 4 grandkids, ages 11, 5,4,3. Moved back to the area in 78' from Heber. I'm an ex truck driver/owner operator, ex because I got retired on disability a few years back. Started playing with and building computers as a hobby 7 years ago.

I don't have any Brand prefs when it comes to autos. We have a 78 RamCharger 440 with 3/4 ton axles, 86 Fiero GT, 86 F-250 4x4, cummins industrial 5.9/gear vendor o.d. to pull 87' 5th wheel and the latest addition, 2004 Jeep Liberty. We tend to keep vehicles for a loooooong time. Been around trucks and truck stuff all my life. I love diesels with enough power and gears to get the job done. Since becomming disabled my interests have had to take a different route, no more hunting, boating, skiing but we've found other ways to have fun just the same.

I better throw in...

I'm David. My wife and I moved to West Jordan a little over a year ago. We moved from Atlanta, GA. I work for ABF, a LTL trucking carrier. I am the Region Training Specialist and do all of the management training in the northwest corner of the U.S. and western Canada. Besides messing with the vehicles, I enjoy being outdoors, boating, and doing woodworking and landscaping around the house.

Its good to get to know you all!

Hello Utahn's,

Richard here, born in Layton, moved to Forsyth, Missouri, when I was 3, moved back to Utah 15 years later. Lived in Salt Lake and Provo for 11 years, been down in Richfield for 4. I love the rural life. I love to get out and ride ATV's, camp, and be an amature mechanic out of necessity. Have had owned 22 different cars/truck/SUV's over the last 20 years, only 3 costing more than 10k. Most were priced under 3k and had over 100k miles, which is why I started working on my mechanicing abilities! I currently own a 96 Bronco that tows my old camp trailer and 3 place atv trailer in tandem, 96 Olds 88, 97 Jeep GC, 66 Citroen ID19. Last month I rebuilt the automatic trans for the Jeep in my one car garage. Lots of cursing at times and lots of smiles at other times, 2k miles and still shifting. I have been employed with the same appliance company for 16 years. Two kids, 12 and 9, girl and boy, they are what I live for. Can't say enough about my wife, pretty much perfect for me. Sorry to get all mushy , but a good woman is hard to find. If anyone needs guidance on what ATV trails to try around here, give me a holler.

Rich

Zane here, I was born and raised in West Jordan. I currently reside in Kearns, though once the Wife's car is paid for, we are moving somewhere else. I have worked for GE Capitl for 10 years. I have been married for eight, and have a 6 year old daughter. I drive older vehicles(a '84 and a '88 respectively) which has made me a self taught shade tree mechanic to keep them going. I am also a firearms enthusiast(or gun nut in the words of most Democrats).

I enjoy meeting people who enjoy other people and so far I've met a few ford owners both here and at FTW (where I currently serve as the Utah Chapter president) but I always like to visit all over the place. I'm also a member of RMFTC (Rocky Mountain Ford Truck Club).
