Well I put my carb on after fixing fuel leak, now I am getting gas out the fuel vents, I did not adjust float during repair, why would this be happening, I also adjusted my idle mixture to a leaner state. Holley 4180
When you had the carb off did you turn it up-side-down? Deposits that form in the bowl usually settle at the bottm of the bowl. If you had it up-side-down these deposits can foul up your needle and seat causing it to stick and over fill the bowl.
Without taking the carb off, pull the front bowl and inspect/clean the needle and seat. Re-adjust the float level and assemble. See if that cures your ill's.
