Question timing spout

94 f-150 5.0 when i set my timing with the spout out at 10-12 btdc.
then i put spout back in the truck wont idle. the only way is i have to advance
the timing to 16-20 and leave the spout out.
does this mean that pcm is bad also got no codes. except open spout duh
thanks moondogg

Are you removing and replacing the SPOUT connector with the engine running?

Will it not run at all with the SPOUT connected, or just idle?
