changing valve cover gaskets
i have a 4x2 1987 f250 5.0 v-8. i need to change the valve cover gaskets,how difficult is it? i have to change/remove the intake manifold right? sure wish it just had carbs instead of efi.

I'ts really not that hard, like you said you will have to remove the upper intake. When I pulled mine a torx t40 bit was required to remove the inside bolt where the upper and lower intake bolt together. Remember when bolting the upper back down the lower to go easy when you tighten it back down, these aluminum intakes crack very easy. That and especially don't let anything fall into the lower intake while you are performing the gasket swap.
