block heater

i want to put a freeze plug heater in what size is the freeze plug hole and are they prone to leaking i don't want it to leak and will it hit any of the cylinder walls

Not sure of size.
I do have that type on my Mack, it works ok, and does not leak at all.

I would recommend a circulating type. I think it would be much easier to install and provide better heating. I've used the KATZ brand before.

Freightrain, by circulating type do you mean the ones that go in between your heat hose and firewall? I have a friend that has one in his block and the heater hose/ inline type and when he plugs them in together it moves the temp gauge! I have 2 in my block but that is a whole different story. Make sure you get them in tight enough or you will blow them out when you get on it (don't overtorque them either though).
